Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Senior Metallurgist for Premium Melting (VIM, ESR, VAR) to provide technical support in the melt shop and interact with operations, R&D, purchasing, and quality teams. The role focuses on disposition of non‑conforming material, process optimization and problem solving to meet customer and company goals.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispositions of referred, non-conforming and off-standard material.

• Support process optimization and new procedures in melt shop (VIM, ESR, VAR).
• Improve yield, productivity and cost reductions in melt operations.
• Interact with operations, R&D, purchasing and quality teams during audits.
