  • Generate and analyze metadata reports and quality metrics to identify gaps in completeness, accuracy, consistency, and configuration
  • Support data steward onboarding by developing documentation, training materials, and user guides, and assisting users with catalog-related activities
  • Collaborate with data engineering, data architecture, data quality, and identity/access management teams to resolve technical issues and support metadata integrations
  • Recommend and implement improvements to metadata workflows, catalog usability, governance processes, and ongoing platform operations
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in metadata management, data management, data governance, or a closely related discipline

  • Experience configuring metadata workflows, maintaining catalog assets, managing permissions, and supporting day-to-day platform operations
  • Strong understanding of metadata standards, business and technical definitions, glossaries, taxonomies, and data lineage
  • Working knowledge of data architecture concepts, including data warehouses, data models, and enterprise data platforms
  • SQL and data profiling skills to support metadata analysis, troubleshooting, and lineage investigations
  • Experience collaborating with technical and business teams to resolve issues, document processes, and drive operational activities independently
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with Alation; experience with comparable enterprise metadata platforms will also be considered
  • Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK and established metadata management principles
  • Experience supporting data catalog implementations, enhancements, and user adoption
  • Experience with metadata quality reporting, lineage analysis, and metadata automation
  • Familiarity with enterprise Data Governance and data stewardship processes
