Qualifications

• Bachelor80s degree in a relevant field.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries against data warehouses or data lakes.
• 1+ year of professional experience using Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong knowledge in querying and analyzing major data languages and relational databases.
• Experience documenting business processes, data paths, and data mapping parameters.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum with Jira for task tracking.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Data Analyst to support the risk management and audit operational control teams. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as the key technical data lead to drive the development, evolution, and implementation of automated data products that enable self-service for enterprise data consumers
• Re-engineer legacy data processes and migrate complex data pipelines from on-premises environments into Amazon Web Services (AWS) data solutions
• Execute and monitor data processes that deliver critical, validated datasets directly to internal partners, audit teams, and financial regulators
• Evaluate enterprise data management, data quality, and data access protocols to identify operational gaps, system inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities
• Implement robust solutions and governance frameworks across data quality metrics, metadata repositories, system lineage tracking, and data access rights
• Develop detailed data mapping matrices to enable business data end-users to transition smoothly from legacy frameworks to modern cloud-native systems

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• 1+ year of hands‑on experience writing complex SQL queries against enterprise data warehouses or data lakes
• 1+ year of professional experience utilizing Python for data manipulation, analytics, and automation scripting
• Strong foundational knowledge in querying, analyzing, and working with major data languages and relational database platforms
• Proven capability in documenting business processes, customer workflows, data paths, and data mapping parameters
• Practical experience operating within an Agile/Scrum development environment, utilizing Jira for task tracking and product backlog management

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
• Functional background in risk management, audit frameworks, credit workflows, or operational control spaces
• 1+ years of experience working within process management methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or workflow re-engineering)
• Demonstrable knowledge of formal data governance, data privacy standards, lineage tracking, and data quality profiling tools
• Familiarity with AWS data ecosystems, serverless products (AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB), or business intelligence visualization tools (Amazon QuickSight)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $39.00 and $57.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
