KellyMitchell Group is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer in Spring, TX to lead enterprise-scale dimensional data models, DBT development, and Snowflake optimization in a modern analytics environment.

You will provide technical leadership, shape data modeling standards, and collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable analytical solutions. Onsite work from Spring, TX is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale dimensional data models with star-schema design.
• Expert-level hands-on DBT development, testing, and deployment practices.
• Expert-level Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
• Proven track record designing enterprise-scale dimensional data models and data warehousing.
• Strong understanding of analytical modeling and modern analytics engineering principles.
• Experience leading technical design decisions and influencing data architecture strategy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to translate technical concepts into business value.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and lead implementation of complex star-schema data models (fact, dimension, bridge, aggregate).
• Build, optimize, and govern DBT frameworks, models, testing strategies, and reusable patterns.
• Architect, optimize, and troubleshoot large Snowflake data structures, pipelines, and SQL workloads.
• Define and enforce enterprise data modeling standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Lead architectural decisions related to dimensional modeling, normalization, and analytical data structures.
• Partner with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
• Mentor team members, conduct design reviews, and provide technical leadership across analytics engineering initiatives.
• Drive data quality, performance, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement of the analytics platform.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading Energy & Utilities provider, is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale dimensional data models within a modern analytics environment. This role focuses on data modeling best practices, star schema design, DBT development, and Snowflake optimization, while providing technical leadership to deliver scalable, high-performing analytical solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and lead implementation of complex star-schema data models, including fact, dimension, bridge, and aggregate tables
• Build, optimize, and govern DBT frameworks, models, testing strategies, and reusable development patterns
• Architect, optimize, and troubleshoot large-scale Snowflake data structures, pipelines, and SQL workloads
• Define and enforce enterprise data modeling standards, best practices, and design patterns
• Lead architectural decisions related to dimensional modeling, normalization, denormalization, and analytical data structures
• Partner with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytical solutions

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Data modeling experience, focused on modeling best practices and star schema design rather than heavy engineering
• Expert-level hands‑on experience with DBT development, testing, and deployment practices
• Expert-level experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and SQL optimization
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale dimensional data models
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, analytical modeling, and modern analytics engineering principles
• Experience leading technical design decisions and influencing data architecture strategy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• DP-203, SnowPro, or equivalent cloud data certifications
• Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric
• Python for data engineering, automation, and analytics
• Data Vault or advanced data modeling methodologies

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
