Job summary

Qcells North America seeks a Sr. MES Engineer for its IT department in Cartersville, GA. The role will advance Smart Factory initiatives, design and operate MES software, and drive continuous process improvements to boost manufacturing productivity.

Key duties include designing and implementing MES solutions, integrating with ERP/PLCs/AMR, delivering end-user training, and leading MES/PI projects on-site with cross-functional collaboration to meet business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field required.
5+ years of MES development/operations experience required.
Experience in automation in high-tech industries (solar/semiconductors) preferred.
Proficiency with MES software and data/database concepts.
Strong analytical and communication skills; capable of project leadership.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement MES functions to optimize manufacturing processes and production efficiency.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement strategies to reduce costs.
Integrate MES with ERP, PLCs, AMR, and other systems for seamless data flow.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES applications; ensure reliability.
Develop training materials and conduct end-user trainings; maintain documentation.
Lead MES and PI projects with timely delivery within budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, engineering, quality, and IT.
