Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a senior IT professional to lead the strategy and delivery of merchandising planning technology solutions. You will guide architecture, roadmap development, and platform modernization to support planning, forecasting, analytics, and business decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with at least 7 years as an engineer.
• Experience leading large-scale technology implementations, modernization initiatives, or digital transformation programs.
• Experience with SaaS-based enterprise planning platforms, cloud-based applications, and integrated technology ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, roadmap, design, and evolution of merchandising planning technology solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor offerings to improve planning capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for platform modernization, integrations, analytics, and automation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable tech solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and solution architectures.
• Oversee design, testing, deployment, and operational support across planning platforms.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, and Security teams to align with enterprise standards.
• Drive adoption of analytics, AI, and emerging technologies to boost planning efficiency.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance reviews to meet business needs.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and escalation point for critical production issues.
• Mentor engineers and support team growth.
