Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Lima, OH seeks an Experienced Superintendent for Mechanical and Electrical systems on a major construction project. You will lead, direct and coordinate work by subcontractors and Turner trade labor, ensuring safety, schedule, quality and budget adherence.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple trades, resolving field issues with owners and engineers, and overseeing safety programs, inspections, start‑up, turnover and punch lists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems; BIM and coordination use.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade staffing levels.
• Coordinate multiple trades for a coordinated project operation and resolve field issues.
• Manage site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns.
• Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work; develop recovery strategies to meet schedule and budget.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; investigate and resolve.
• Manage billing processes related to work in place and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work conforms to contract documents and coordinated drawings/3D model.
• Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover and training for system handover.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities to ensure conformance with plans and codes.
