Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior MEP Superintendent I to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on large projects. The role provides overall direction, manages construction activities, and collaborates with engineers and project teams to ensure schedule, safety, and quality.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of trade experience, 15 years of construction experience, and 10 years in supervision. Travel up to 100% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience
• Minimum 15 years construction experience
• Minimum 10 years supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Willing to travel up to 100%

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities and assign tasks
• Collaborate with departments to secure materials, equipment, and inspections to support the schedule
• Budget, forecast, and manage labor, equipment, and materials
• Review documents for completeness and constructability
• Create and update project schedules and look-ahead plans
• Lead pre-construction planning and site meetings
• Provide leadership and performance feedback
• Ensure safety and implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury program
• Manage site relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors
