Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant MEP Superintendent to coordinate and supervise mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trade contractors on diverse projects. You will lead field teams, monitor safety, quality, and schedule, review certifications, and support project managers with cost and time control.

This role requires strong communication and problem solving, with confidentiality and professionalism expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction-related field.
• Minimum five years construction supervision or related experience.
• Minimum five years construction management or related experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Electrical circuitry qualified or ability to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers if necessary.
• Strong organizational skills and understanding of construction law and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage project labor (craft labor, subcontractors).
• Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reports.
• Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings.
• Participate in site orientation and safety meetings.
• Coordinate review and approval of craft worker timecards.
• Participate in hire and dismissal of craft workers.
• Coordinate on-site operations and scope of work (Equipment, Labor, Schedule).
• Provide guidance on setup, in-place work, and demobilization.
• Support project managers on schedule development and updates.
• Coordinate with equipment providers for cranes, trailers, etc.
• Review quantity takeoffs and materials management during buyout.
• Manage scope of work Production and Innovation Boards.
• Plan of Day activities and safety audits.
• Quality control of self-perform and subcontractors' work.
