Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior MEP Superintendent to provide overall direction on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing work for a Minnesota-based project or multiple projects. This role requires onsite leadership, collaboration with engineers and project teams, and strong focus on safety and schedule adherence.

The position supports career progression through two levels, with base pay ranges reflecting experience and office location, and participation in Mortenson’s incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 15 years construction experience.
• Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in a mechanical/electrical contracting setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities and assign tasks.
• Coordinate with departments to secure materials, equipment, and inspections.
• Manage budget, forecast, and resources with Project Managers.
• Review drawings for completeness and constructability.
• Develop and update project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Lead pre-construction planning sessions and site meetings.
• Coach and supervise field personnel and foremen.
• Maintain relationships with customers, architects, and subcontractors.
