Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead field operations for large data center projects in the Midwest. This field-based role involves coordinating MEP disciplines, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The successful candidate will travel regularly across Ohio and Michigan, oversee commissioning activities, and work with project teams to deliver complex data center infrastructure to high standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of MEP construction experience within data centers.
• 5+ years of traveling in the Midwest is preferred.
• 5+ years of mission critical or data center experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily MEP field operations on large-scale data center construction projects.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and commissioning activities.
• Manage subcontractor performance, manpower planning, productivity, and site logistics.
• Facilitate daily coordination meetings, pull-planning sessions, and look-ahead scheduling.
• Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or conflicts.
• Ensure installations meet design intent, client requirements, and quality standards.
• Oversee QA/QC inspections, testing procedures, deficiency tracking, and punch list management.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams through startup, testing, turnover activities.
• Support BIM/VDC coordination and resolution of constructability issues.
• Drive site safety initiatives and maintain OSHA compliance.
• Manage energization procedures and critical systems turnover where required.
