Job summary

Actalent is seeking a dedicated MEP Superintendent to lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty systems for a large-scale Data Center project in Columbus, OH. You will oversee field coordination, ensure safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality turnover.

The role requires 7+ years of MEP-focused superintendent experience and travel flexibility. This field-based, onsite position offers strong collaboration with project teams and a path to contract-to-hire for

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction superintendent experience with a strong focus on MEP.
• Experience overseeing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty subcontractors.
• Ability to manage all MEP scopes for large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of installation sequencing, commissioning, coordination, and quality control.
• Experience working for a general contractor or MEP contractor.
• Open to travel.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, data center, industrial, or manufacturing construction projects.
• Knowledge of commissioning, startup, and turnover processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience leading subcontractor meetings and driving field coordination efforts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage MEP subcontractors.
• Monitor installation progress and resolve field issues.
• Support quality and commissioning efforts.
• Partner with project management teams to drive successful project execution.
• Maintain schedule commitments and enforce safety expectations.
• Ensure all building systems are installed and operating according to design requirements.
