Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager I to lead and manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects on medium to large scale, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety. You will mentor the project team, oversee multiple projects, and develop strong customer relationships through excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience.
• Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

• Minimum eight years construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project financial health, including projections, budgeting, and invoicing.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier selections, billings, and contract management.
• Direct 3‑D coordination and commissioning processes, ensuring conflict resolution and testing.
• Lead project closeout activities, including manuals, model turnover, and training.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
• Serve as main contact for owner, resolving site concerns and building relationships.
• Manage change orders and obtain necessary approvals.
• Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance throughout the project.
