Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager I to lead and manage MEP projects, ensure quality, timeliness, safety, and mentor project teams. Develop strong client relationships and oversee multiple projects as needed. A senior-level role with significant field leadership and coordination responsibilities.

The position requires a bachelor's in a related field, 8+ years of construction management experience, and travel up to 100% with valid driver’s license. Visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
• Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
• Ability to travel up to 100%

• Minimum eight years construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project financial health, including projections, budgeting, and invoicing
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier selections, billings, and contract management
• Direct 3-D coordination and commissioning processes, ensuring conflict resolution and testing
• Lead project closeout activities, including manuals, model turnover, and training
• Supervise and develop Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s)
• Serve as main contact for owner, resolving site concerns and building relationships
• Manage change orders and obtain necessary approvals
• Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance throughout the project
