Job summary

Delta Construction Partners, Inc. is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead planning and coordination of all MEP systems across project lifecycles in Georgia with travel to active sites.

You will review plans, manage budgets, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to ensure seamless MEP integration. The role requires 5–10 years of MEP project leadership in construction, deep knowledge of NEC/ASHRAE/NFPA standards, and proficiency with Procore and Primavera.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required.
  • 5-10 years of experience managing MEP projects in construction industry is required.
  • Proven track record managing MEP systems installation and integration in complex construction environments.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with subcontractors, engineers, and architects.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of MEP systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and installation.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards (NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with Procore and Primavera project management software.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong safety record and commitment to compliance.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and coordination of all MEP systems installation and integration throughout project lifecycle.
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to understand MEP requirements and project goals.
  • Develop and manage MEP portion of project schedule ensuring timely completion of all tasks and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Oversee procurement and delivery of materials and equipment for MEP systems.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure cost-effective and efficient execution of MEP work.
  • Supervise MEP teams, subcontractors, and field staff providing leadership and guidance.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain project momentum.
  • Foster collaborative work environment ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop MEP engineers, field staff, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular team meetings providing feedback and resolving conflicts.
  • Develop, monitor, and control MEP project budgets ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.
  • Track labor, material, and equipment costs ensuring efficient resource use.
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage change orders with proper documentation.
  • Ensure MEP systems are installed according to specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage testing and commissioning of MEP systems ensuring proper functionality.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance across all MEP activities.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  • Serve as main point of contact for MEP-related issues with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates and reports to management and clients.
  • Participate in project meetings providing input on MEP design and implementation.
  • Proactively identify and assess risks to MEP system installation.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans to minimize risks.
  • Resolve technical issues and address conflicts ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage scope changes related to MEP systems with minimal timeline disruption.
  • Implement corrective actions for delays while maintaining clear communication.
  • Report and manage risks to senior management recommending mitigation strategies.
