Job summary

Austin Commercial seeks a Senior MEP Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead complex mechanical and electrical coordination for a multi-billion dollar project. The role requires extensive PM and MEP experience, strong leadership, and close collaboration with owners, designers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include coordinating MEP scope, reviewing shop drawings, ensuring code compliance, and delivering on schedule and budget. We offer solid benefits and the ESOP ownership model.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management and MEP experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year).
• Proficient in project manager software.
• Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports.
• Ability to build and manage multiple high performing teams.
• Familiarity with MEP code requirements (NFPA, SMACNA, Plumbing Code, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mechanical/electrical design complexity and estimate construction costs.
• Serve as a technical resource in meetings with owners and architects.
• Attend weekly owner/architect/subcontractor meetings and outline scope and phasing.
• Ensure timely submission and QA/QC of MEP shop drawings and equipment delivery.
• Coordinate MEP scope and shop drawings among subs and with design engineers.
• Inspect MEP systems for code compliance, quality, and timely installation.
• Liaise between owners, architects, GCs and all disciplines and manage changes.
