Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, focusing on design-build execution. You will develop strategies to meet contractual and financial goals, manage budgets and change orders, and report progress to clients and leadership.

The role also emphasizes mentoring and coordinating with internal teams to keep projects on schedule. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with 15+

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management; 15+ years of MEP project leadership.
• Experience managing large, complex projects with process piping.
• Extensive HVAC project management with strong financial and scheduling control.
• Ability to plan long horizons (6–9 months) and drive pre-fabrication.
• Excellent communication with clients, engineers, and contractors.
• Authentic leadership with accountability and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to meet contractual and financial goals.
• Measure progress and develop tactics to stay on track.
• Develop client relationships and provide status updates to client and leadership.
• Partner with management to develop project strategies.
• Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments.
• Mentor project team and provide coaching and feedback.
• Direct and motivate teams through all phases of large-scale projects.
• Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers for growth.
• Utilize latest construction trends and pioneer new approaches.
• Develop long-term customer relationships beyond a single project.
