Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a senior leader to oversee MEP preconstruction across large, technically complex projects. You will guide estimating, budgeting, and constructability planning for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring alignment with client goals.

You will partner with operations, design, and trade partners to develop cost and delivery strategies that optimize system performance, schedule, and value, building high-performing preconstruction teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in MEP preconstruction, estimating, or project leadership.
• 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple project MEP preconstruction teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across estimating, budgeting, and value engineering deliverables.
• Directs strategic estimating and cost modeling for MEP systems on complex or high-value projects.
• Collaborates with clients, design, operations, and trade partners to incorporate constructability, sequencing, and energy performance into preconstruction planning.
• Oversees implementation and continuous improvement of MEP preconstruction standards, databases, and benchmarking tools.
• Develops and mentors MEP preconstruction managers and senior estimators to strengthen technical expertise and leadership capability.
• Represents the MEP preconstruction function in client and executive meetings, reinforcing integrated project delivery.
