Job summary

Moss is seeking a skilled MEP Specialist in Allen, TX to drive preconstruction budgeting and GMP process for design-build projects. Focused on specialty trades, the role emphasizes accurate estimating, RFIs, and cost-saving opportunities, reporting to the VP of Preconstruction.

Qualifications

BS degree in a related field is required.
Minimum of seven years’ preconstruction experience.
Strong reading of specifications and constructability.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
Knowledge of trade-specific scope and unit pricing.

Responsibilities

Manage estimated responsibilities and deadlines for multiple projects (Trade Specialist).
Lead design-build projects from concept to contract award.
Perform quantity survey using On Screen Take Off/Bluebeam.
Fill gaps in concept drawings and design documents for specialty trades.
Develop bid tabs and cost savings across trades.
Present cost variances to Owners and A/E teams and propose solutions.
Review drawings for missing information and issue RFIs.
Coordinate with Operations on site logistics for estimates.
