Job summary

Moss is seeking an experienced MEP Specialist for our Allen, TX office to lead preconstruction efforts on design-build projects. This full-time role interfaces with the Preconstruction Chief to develop budgets, GMPs, and bids for specialty trades.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years in preconstruction, strong takeoff and cost-estimation skills, and the ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, and operations to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years in preconstruction on design-build projects.
• Ability to self-manage with minimal direction.
• Knowledge of price by trade and unit pricing of trades.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to read specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and GMP estimates for specialty trades.
• Manage design-build projects from concept to final contract award.
• Perform quantity surveys of materials and takeoffs.
• Fill in gaps from drawings and specs for missing information (Specialty Trades).
• Assemble bid tabs and unit pricing across multiple trades.
• Develop qualifications and assumptions from bid tabs.
