Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a senior MEP leader to oversee preconstruction, engineering and field installation of all MEP systems on a major project. This role reports to the Project Manager and Project Executive and requires a strong history of managing complex MEP workflows.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ progressively responsible experience in mechanical and electrical systems, excellent communication, and leadership capabilities, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in design, cost, scheduling or field installation of MEP systems.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient with project management and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives to align with client goals from initiation to completion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contract documents including Turner’s contracts, plans, specs and codes.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner MEP staff; provide input on performance appraisals.
• Oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinates; manage MEP procurement, budgets, quality, safety, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close-out processes.
