Suffolk Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator with a strong background in MEP/FP estimating for large, complex commercial projects. You will lead estimating efforts from preconstruction through buyout, coordinate across design and operations, and stay current with Title 24 and AHJ requirements.

This role covers Los Angeles and Orange County, with local travel as needed. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with takeoff software, and the ability to communicate

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in MEP/FP estimating or preconstruction.
• Experience estimating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead conceptual to construction document estimates for MEP/FP systems.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses.
• Review drawings for completeness and constructability; identify scope gaps.
• Develop bid lists and manage subcontractor proposals and buyout.
• Support value engineering and cost reduction while ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate on budgets, cost models, and cash flow projections.
• Present estimates to clients and internal leadership.
• Track code, energy, and AHJ requirements affecting MEP/FP.
