Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Atlanta, GA is seeking a senior estimator for a traveling role focused on Critical Facilities-Data Centers. You will prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical/Plumbing/Fire Protection trades from design through construction documents, reporting to Preconstruction Manager/MEP Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 15+ years of Mechanical/Plumbing/Fire Protection estimating experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead responsibility for complex MEP projects with $25M+ packages.
• Communicate estimates to Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Prepare take-offs, analyses, and estimates for Mechanical/Plumbing/Fire Protection trades.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
• Perform constructability analysis and life-cycle cost studies.
• Lead integration of MEP operations during PreCon and construction.
• Prepare estimates for all contract types (lump sum, GMP, Cost Plus).
• Participate in estimate reviews and hand-off to operations.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and manage scope gaps.
• May supervise estimators and interns.
