Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to lead mechanical and electrical systems integration on a major project. You will coordinate with the project team, owners, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, safe, within-budget delivery that meets contract documents.

Responsibilities include managing contract items, schedules, RFIs, budget and change orders, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience.
• Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems for building projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational ability, and leadership qualities.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team and stakeholders to ensure alignment and proper systems installation.
• Manage contract item lists and ROJ dates per project schedule.
• Oversee schedule updates and provide accurate progress information.
• Evaluate RFIs and manage budget, change orders, and subcontractor status.
• Co-lead MEP coordination with the VDC Engineer to meet design and quality standards.
• Oversee turnover, start-up, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
• Conduct regular site walkthroughs ensuring work aligns with contract documents and approved submittals.
• Inform field staff about critical installation requirements for proper planning.
• Ensure all municipal and agency documentation for temporary certificates of information and system operation.
