Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least four years of relevant engineering experience or an equivalent combination.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how they interact on complex projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and computer skills.
• Proven leadership to foster a high performing project team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, subcontractors, owners consultants and representatives to ensure alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Prepare and manage contract items list to keep ROJ dates aligned with the project schedule.
• Participate in schedule update meetings and provide accurate scheduling information.
• Evaluate and manage RFIs and change orders with a clear view of subcontractor financial status.
• Supervise, coach and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers and co-lead MEP coordination with the VDC Engineer.
• Develop scope of work documents and define division of responsibilities for trades and temporary operations.
• Resolve conflicts between mechanical and electrical systems with site logistics and schedule.
• Oversee turnover process including start-up, testing, commissioning and closeout.
• Conduct regular project walkthroughs to ensure conformance with contract documents and submittals.
