Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd Llp seeks an Engineer III to act as a senior technical leader on complex MEP-T projects. You will oversee design, analysis, and implementation, mentor junior engineers, and serve as the client-facing firm representative for selected projects.

You will review complex designs, analyses, and submittals, lead design decisions, and ensure QA/QC across disciplines. Expect site visits, technical reporting, and collaboration with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Fire Protection engineering.
• Professional licensure preferred (PE, CPD, FPE, RCDD) or 15+ years' experience in lieu.
• 6+ years of progressive AEC industry experience with leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Delegate tasks and guide team members on project work.
• Lead discipline-specific design for medium to large projects with limited Revit use.
• Review and direct complex designs, calculations, and simulations.
• Review complex submittals and shop drawings for accuracy.
• Respond to complex RFIs from clients and consultants.
• Conduct targeted site visits to resolve critical issues on-site.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for projects.
• Participate in project meetings providing high-level technical input.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with schedule and budget targets.
