Design Hire LLC in Buffalo, NY seeks a Sr Mechanical Engineer to lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for commercial and institutional projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in an MEP consulting environment, strong Revit skills, and the ability to independently manage mechanical designs while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in an MEP or architectural/engineering consulting firm.
• Strong proficiency in Revit for mechanical building systems design.
• PE license preferred or actively pursuing licensure with ability to obtain it soon.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building codes, calculations, equipment sizing, and construction documentation.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new construction, renovations, and building improvement projects.
• Develop engineering calculations, equipment selections, system layouts, specifications, and construction documents using Revit and other design tools.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural, and other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight, review drawings, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with codes and industry standards.
• Support project management, client coordination, field investigations, construction administration, and overall project delivery.
