Job summary

PM Design Inc. in West Chester, PA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Designer to lead HVAC and plumbing design within our MEP division.

You will oversee a team of drafters and consultants to deliver high-quality construction documents, coordinating with project leadership to meet deadlines and budgets. The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and proven experience in building systems design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project leadership to develop and execute plans.
• Apply working knowledge of ASHRAE codes and industry standards.
• Design and layout HVAC systems (including energy calculations) and plumbing systems (sanitary waste, venting, domestic water, natural gas).
• Select, size, and specify HVAC and plumbing components.
• Document designs in Revit/AutoCAD and prepare scope, concepts, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits, gather field data, and prepare reports.
• Direct and mentor staff and consultants preparing drawings and specifications.
• Review project status, budgets, and proactively address risks.
• Maintain strong client, consultant, and agency relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
