The position requires 6-8 years of modular construction experience, Vertex BD, AutoCAD and Revit proficiency, and strong organizational skills to deliver accurate

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in design, engineering, or building information modeling
• Engineering, Architecture, and/or Construction experience required
• 6-8 years of experience required
• Experience in component design for modular construction
• Vertex BD proficiency required; AutoCAD and Revit proficiency preferred
• Foundational knowledge of North American wood framing standards
• Detail-oriented and able to function as part of a diverse team

Responsibilities

• Work with PD/PA and SPD/SPAs to ensure faithful and profitable execution of VBC projects under SEA direction
• Model structural components using BIM to translate engineering documentation into manufacturing files
• Coordinate and manage deliverables schedule while conforming to office standards
• Review structural deliverables from sub-consultants for conformity with standards
• Document structural deviations from VBC standards for team visibility
• Maintain structural BIM files ensuring conformity with standards
• Record responses to RFIs, revisions, and requests professionally and timely
• Propose revisions to BIM manuals, templates, and procedures
• Support creation of design, engineering, and manufacturing standards with detailing development
• Support DfMA cross training for design and engineering staff
• Mentor and train junior structural engineering team members
