Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is seeking a Senior Project Architect in Cambridge, MA to lead design for modular construction projects. The role centers on managing BIM models, coordinating with manufacturing, construction, and external stakeholders to ensure code compliance and design intent is translated into production-ready documents.

The ideal candidate is licensed or pursuing licensure, with 8–12 years of related experience, strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, and knowledge of DFMA.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in design, construction, or professional degree in Architecture required.
• Engineering, Architecture, Interior Architecture and/or Construction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement design direction for drawings and sketches as assigned project lead.
• Generate model and project documentation and manage document dissemination as assigned.
• Review Revit | BIM file management to confirm conformity with office standards.
• Coordinate and review design deliverables produced by architecture, drafting, modeling, and rendering teams.
• Manage, document, and approve deviations from office standards for integration into project model and documentation.
• Manage client and team reviews and approvals through the office's standard processes.
• Track and report on project progress and schedule using Design and Engineering reporting methodology.
