Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical Cost Estimator to develop capital cost estimates for diverse building projects, ranging from small facilities to large-scale campuses. The role supports projects nationwide with a primarily remote work setup and hybrid options.

You will review designs, proposals and drawings, analyze cost impacts, and collaborate with contracts staff and vendors to deliver accurate estimates while maintaining detailed project records and client communications.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years of estimating and construction experience.
• Proficient use of MS Office products along with estimating and quantity takeoff software(s).
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection capital cost estimates for a variety of building projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.
