Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical Cost Estimator to develop capital cost estimates for plumbing, HVAC and fire protection across diverse building projects. You will review proposals, validate change orders, and interface with external clients to present capital costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-15 years estimating and construction experience.
• Progressive cost estimating experience in Plumbing, Fire Protection and HVAC systems.
• Proficient use of MS Office products along with estimating and quantity takeoff software(s).
• US Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Develop Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection capital cost estimates for a variety of building projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.
