Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical Cost Estimator to develop capital cost estimates for diverse building projects nationwide. The role involves reviewing design documents, proposals, and drawings, attending design meetings, and assessing cost impacts to generate comprehensive estimates.

You will prepare estimates using work breakdown structures, conduct quantity takeoffs, and assist with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors while interfacing with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years of estimating and construction experience.
• Progressive cost estimating experience in Plumbing, Fire Protection and HVAC systems.
• Proficient use of MS Office products along with estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection capital cost estimates for a variety of building projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.
