Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Microfabrication Supervisor 2 to lead a team in our MEMS microfabrication facility. The role focuses on enabling high-reliability inertial MEMS sensors, coordinating with program management, engineering, and facilities.

You will implement Eyelit MES, manage training, drive Lean manufacturing improvements, and ensure quality systems meet contract requirements. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential, with a willingness to work early shifts.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years operational experience, 3+ years supervisory.
• AS9100D production protocols experience highly desired.
• Experience with MES and SPC in a semiconductor/wafer fab environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise eight or more microfabrication technicians and manage daily work and evaluations.
• Lead startup, configuration and use of Eyelit MES in mixed low-rate production and R&D.
• Manage trainings, cross-trainings and maintain documentation per standards.
• Work with Mission Assurance to maintain a quality system and corrective actions.
• Model Fab capacity, identify bottlenecks, and apply Lean improvements.
• Coordinate with planning for materials, maintenance and training compliance.
• Communicate production needs to stakeholders and provide updates to leadership.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and WIP control to improve yield and delivery.
