Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Microfabrication Supervisor 2 to lead a team of eight+ technicians in the MEMS fabrication area, driving production schedules and quality.

The role focuses on implementing Eyelit MES, applying Lean/6-Sigma methods, and coordinating with engineering, facilities, and mission assurance to meet critical customer needs.

A BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 5+ years of operations experience, including 3+ years in supervision, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required.
• Minimum 5 years operational experience, 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and SPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise eight+ Microfabrication Technicians, schedule daily work and evaluate performance.
• Lead MES implementation (Eyelit) in mixed low-rate production and R&D environment.
• Oversee trainings, cross-trainings, and ensure documentation standards compliance.
• Coordinate with Mission Assurance, engineering, facilities and maintenance to sustain quality.
