Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA seeks a Microfabrication Supervisor 2 to lead a team of technicians in MEMS and related technologies. The role requires coordinating with program management, engineering, facilities, and mission assurance to deliver high-quality sensors for defense, space, and biomedical applications.

The successful candidate will drive lean initiatives, maintain a robust quality system, and manage WIP flow in fabrication while improving throughput and meeting stringent schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years operational experience, 3+ years supervisory experience.
• AS9100D production protocols experience highly desired.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and Statistical Process Control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise eight or more Microfabrication Technicians and manage daily work assignments.
• Lead MES implementation and interface with Eyelit in a mixed production/R&D environment.
• Oversee training, cross-training, and resource allocation for program support.
• Maintain documentation standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, facilities, and mission assurance to meet customer needs.
• Drive Lean manufacturing improvements to yield, delivery, and cost.
