Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior MEMS Engineer to join our team in the MEMS timing technology space.

You will contribute to design, development, testing, qualification, and production support, collaborating across MEMS design, ASIC, wafer fabrication, and production to deliver high-performance timing devices. The role requires a strong background in MEMS design and Python-based data analysis, with opportunities to influence products from early-stage research to customer delivery in

Qualifications

Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Understanding of MEMS design and fundamentals.
Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or engineering applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a cross-functional team, multi-site team.

Responsibilities

Design, characterize, and analyze MEMS resonators and related technologies.
Perform simulations and laboratory evaluations, debugging, characterization, and root-cause analysis of devices.
Participate in full product development lifecycle from concept through production support.
Develop, refine, and maintain test software and automation for characterization and testing.
Collaborate with MEMS, ASIC design, process engineering and production teams to bring new technologies to market.
Communicate technical findings and project status to leadership.
