Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior MEMS Engineer to design, develop, and support MEMS timing technology from early development through production. You will work with MEMS, ASIC, wafer fabrication, and QA teams across sites to deliver high-performance timing devices.

The role requires a strong background in MEMS, Python-enabled data analysis, and effective communication. A Master’s (and PhD preferred) may be advantageous for advanced projects and cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in a technical field.
• 5 years of engineering experience in MEMS or related area.
• Understanding MEMS design fundamentals and data analysis with Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, characterize, and analyze MEMS resonators and related tech.
• Perform simulations, testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in full product development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Develop test software and automation for lab characterization and production testing.
• Collaborate with MEMS, ASIC, process engineering, and QA teams to bring new tech to market.
• Communicate findings, status, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
