Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Senior MEMS Engineer to contribute to design, development, and production support of MEMS timing technology across multiple stages. You will collaborate with MEMS, ASIC, wafer fabrication, assembly, test, and product engineering teams to bring high-performance timing devices to market.

The role emphasizes design, characterization, and automation, with opportunities to influence the full product lifecycle from concept to customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Understanding of MEMS design and underlying fundamentals.
• Experience with Python programming for data analysis, automation, or engineering applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, characterize, and analyze MEMS resonators and related technologies.
• Perform simulations, laboratory evaluations, debugging, characterization, and root-cause analysis of new and existing devices.
• Participate in the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through qualification, release, and production support.
• Develop, refine, and maintain test software and automation used for laboratory characterization and production testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MEMS, ASIC design, process engineering, assembly, test, quality, and product engineering, to bring new technologies and products to market.
• Communicate technical findings, project status, risks, and opportunities to project and engineering leadership.
