Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Sr. Buyer to lead procurement for DRAM, DIMMs, NAND/NOR Flash, SSDs and related components, while supporting subcontractors such as Tape & Reel and conformal coating.

The role emphasizes building strong vendor relationships and optimizing inventory through Oracle ERP to meet quality, schedule, and cost targets. You will collaborate with QA, Engineering, Planning and Sales to drive cost reductions, manage supplier performance, and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 5 years experience in manufacturing purchasing and materials control or equivalent.
• Semiconductor Memory business experience preferred.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills.
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP system preferred.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/deadlines and deliver high quality results.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand/MRP data through Oracle ERP to determine safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with core vendors and distributors.
• Make timely purchasing transactions to meet quality, schedule, cost, and strategic objectives.
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to reduce costs and inventory levels.
• Identify root causes of parts shortages and implement solutions.
• Resolve quality issues with purchased materials with QA and Engineering; issue RMAs.
• Maintain purchasing data in Oracle; run and create reports.
