Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in the United States is seeking a Sr. Buyer focused on procurement of DRAM, DIMMs, NAND/NOR Flash, and SSDs.

The role also supports purchasing for SSD controllers, PCBs, and related components, while managing subcontractors and supply chain services. The ideal candidate will analyze demand data in Oracle ERP, build strong vendor relationships, and drive cost reductions and inventory optimization across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 5 years of manufacturing purchasing and materials control experience.
• Semiconductor Memory business experience preferred.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand/MRP data daily to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with core vendors and distributors; conduct periodic reviews.
• Make timely purchasing transactions meeting quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to reduce costs and inventory levels.
• Determine root cause of shortages and implement solutions.
• Resolve quality issues with purchased materials with QA/Engineering; issue RMAs.
• Maintain purchasing data in Oracle ERP system.
• Run monthly reports and create new reports for management and corporate.
• Coordinate with Planning and Sales for forecast data and accuracy.
• Move excess products through open markets; manage channel movement.
• Analyze Memory market trends and brief management.
• Handle IP Requisition for non-inventory purchasing; quarterly material cost updates.
• Set up new vendors with Sanmina VCCS; collaborate with AP on payments.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews; prepare for ISO and AS9100 audits.
