Job description

The Senior Membership Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the growth and retention of NUCA’s membership. This position provides high-level administrative and technical support to the Membership Department and serves as a primary point of contact for members and chapter leaders.

The coordinator works collaboratively across departments and with NUCA’s regional/state chapters to support the organization’s strategic membership goals, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction, accurate data management, and effective communication.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Secondary administrator for the association membership.
  • Responds to phone and email inquiries on database login assistance, dues payments, meeting registrations, and contact.
  • Processes membership activities in the database (i.e., new members, renewing members, member prospects, products, services).
  • Maintains outreach program to new and renewing members to ensure consistent engagement with NUCA programs and activities.
  • Assists in creating and updating membership marketing.
  • Serves as the primary staff coordinator for annual scholarship and awards programs.
  • Provides event logistics support for Chapter-in-formation events and meetings.
  • Coordinates Chapter-in-formation email marketing and social media management.

Background Requirements:

  • Preferred 3 – 5 years of customer service and database experience in associations or non-profit organizations.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Experience and comfort with association software, proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience and comfort with design software (eg. Canva), social media management, and email marketing platforms.
  • Must be able to effectively write reports and business.
  • Demonstrated good judgement and solution-focused decision-making.
  • Accepts direction and must possess a positive and proactive attitude along with excellent communication and interpersonal.
  • Must be a self-starter, who is proactive and has a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • Attention to detail and able to work cooperatively in a small team environment.
  • Available to travel (anticipate three to five trips annually).
