Job summary

First Entertainment Credit Union is seeking a Sr. Member Service Officer to deliver outstanding member service at our Culver City location. This full-time, onsite role builds member relationships by educating and advising on Credit Union products and services.

The position reports to the Sr. Branch Manager, may require floating coverage, and offers a target starting hourly rate of $26–$32 in California.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience as a Member Service Representative/New Accounts at a full-service financial institution.
• High school graduate or equivalent; related college degree preferred.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, conflict resolution, organization, and sales skills.
• Solid knowledge of Credit Union products, services, procedures, and field of membership requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Build member relationships that meet expectations and corporate standards for service.
• Assist members with financial needs; identify opportunities to offer products or referrals.
• Actively promote marketing campaigns and educate members on benefits and value.
• Engage in follow-up communication with members regarding requests (outbound calls).
• Assist with account matters, such as fraud, errors, and card issues.
• Present information on memberships, accounts, and ancillary services offered.
• Accept loan applications, follow up on documentation, and close in-person loans; promote remote delivery channels.
• Support dual control for operational tasks and assist management with daily routines.
• Complete required reports and records (timesheets, branch balancing, logs).
• Perform cold calls to generate deposits/loans and cross-sell to deepen relationships.
• Assist management with daily routines and other duties.
