Job summary

First Financial Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Member Service Representative at our Montclair, CA branch. You will assist members with accounts, loans, and services, while promoting products and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of banking experience or at least six months in New Accounts/Consumer Loans.
• Minimum six months of customer service and cash handling experience.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include weekends.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to navigate multiple screens and adapt to new technology.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides information to members on accounts, services and products; promotes and cross-sells offerings.
• Interviews members to obtain documentation for loans and accounts; assigns numbers and opens accounts.
• Processes loan disbursements and prepares loan documents for Funding.
• Prepares audits on member accounts and makes necessary corrections.
• Resolves member problems and researches accounts for quick resolution.
• Prepares DMV paperwork and forwards to the DMV department in a timely manner.
• Performs clerical duties: answering phones, greeting visitors, copying/filing, faxing, and ordering supplies.
• Operates computer terminals to manage accounts and resolve issues.
• Completes online training modules to maintain sales and service skills.
• Meets or exceeds goals per the Member Services Sales & Service Report.
• Conducts outbound Teleconsulting calls to promote services and resolve issues.
• Profiles members to determine current and future financial needs.
• Performs duties in compliance with laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies.
