Job summary

LAFCU is hiring a Branch Member Service Representative III to deliver exceptional service at branch locations. You will open new consumer membership and checking relationships, handle loan applications, and support digital banking tools for members.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and accurate transaction handling, with opportunities to upsell related financial products and provide back-up support as needed.

Qualifications

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED.
• Confidentiality and discretion in communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional member service while opening new consumer membership and checking relationships.
• Receives and processes consumer loan applications and closes approved loans.
• Supports advanced Mobile App and Online Banking issues (password resets, locked accounts, transfers, etc.).
• Cross-sells ancillary loan services (GAP, MBP, Debt Protection).
• Performs other duties as needed; may back-up Contact Center queue.
• Follows regulatory guidelines related to account opening and loans (KYC, CIP, Truth in Lending, Reg B / ECOA, SAFE Act).
