Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks an experienced Medicare Compliance Advisory expert to support day-to-day execution of the program in alignment with CMS requirements. You will translate complex federal/state rules into actionable guidance for business units and lead regulatory communications with internal stakeholders and regulators.

The role focuses on risk assessment, issue tracking, and ensuring timely regulatory reporting, with opportunities to mentor teams and contribute to training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s Degree or JD preferred.
• 5+ years in Compliance, regulatory, operations, or risk management in a regulated industry.
• 4+ years Compliance advisory: regulatory research, drafting guidance, risk assessment, audits, corrective actions.
• 2+ years supporting managed care, Medicare Advantage/Part D, or DSNP programs.
• Foundational knowledge of Medicare regulations (CMS guidance and expectations).
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Medicare Compliance Program in alignment with CMS and applicable regulations to prevent, detect, and correct noncompliance.
• Translate requirements into clear, actionable compliance guidance for stakeholders.
• Develop regulatory communications and liaison with regulators as appropriate.
• Support preparation, validation, and submission of regulatory reports and attestations.
• Identify compliance risks, evaluate processes, and recommend mitigations.
• Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Provide SME support for audits, testing strategies, and ongoing oversight.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support audits, regulatory reviews, and readiness.
• Evaluate remediation plans and ensure sustainable corrective actions.
• Contribute to compliance training and mentor staff on regulatory requirements.
