Responsibilities

• Assist and lead in the development of new methods and procedures.
• Performs the duties of a Medical Technologist 2.
• Prepares and analyzes patient samples using current complex laboratory methods/instruments.
• Determines specimen integrity prior to analysis.
• Reports result of patient sample analysis using computer/instrument interface options.
• Trains other technologists on new laboratory methods/instruments and ensures compliance with accepted practices.
• Maintains compliance of area specific documentation for essential technical, IT, quality, and/or safety information.
