Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily operations of the Central Lab department and assists Lab Manager in policy adherence.
• Checks validity and accuracy of test results obtained by staff and maintains inventory of supplies.
• Assists in calibration and standardization of laboratory instruments and monitors instrument performance.
• Supervises section staff, assigns work, sets priorities, and ensures timely, accurate service.
• Performs required tests and prepares specimens for diagnostic testing following procedures.
• Documents and reports lab results with patient history and maintains confidentiality under HIPAA.
