Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to analyze specimens and report results per protocol. This role includes supervising lab activities and providing coverage with minimal supervision.

Required license in Nevada as general supervisor, ASCP or equivalent, and a Baccalaureate degree in a relevant science. Four years of MT/CLS experience and strong attention to detail are expected for success.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in relevant science (or CLIA’88 equivalent).
• 4 years' experience as Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS).
• Nevada State License as general supervisor required; ASCP or equivalent board registration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze laboratory specimens and report results per protocol.
• Act as general supervisor over assigned lab activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge, organization and attention to detail; provide support as a resource.
