Job summary

The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to analyze specimens and report results in accordance with established protocols. This role provides guidance to Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants and supports the Lead Medical Technologist.

Required qualifications include Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist, ASCP or equivalent board registration, and a BS degree.

Qualifications

• BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent per CLIA’88.
• Three years of experience as Medical Technologist preferred.
• Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist; ASCP or equivalent board registration required.
• New CLS graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of hire; provisional license rules may apply.

Responsibilities

• Analyze laboratory specimens and report results according to protocols.
• Serve as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants.
• Support and assist Lead Medical Technologist.
